Heh, I tried putting a converter cassette on these (10 speed Campag spacing with a Shimano spline) and it wouldn't go on due to the freehub body design.
They are definitely Shimano only I am afraid.
As to the bargain part- I ended up paying around £400 for these, but them's the breaks.
