ebay > search "Ciocc" > advanced settings > completed listings:
Gut feel is no. But if you love it, have the money (to buy *and *to build), and it's the perfect size, why not.
Old frames are hard to value if they are unique, because there aren't as many obvious bench marks. Also find out the tubing and then compare against other brands of comparable quality.

I would say objectively, no, it's not worth that much - but what it's worth to you is something else

If you are simply after a frame to use as a fixie then you can buy a new one for a lot less. Hell, you can buy an entire bike for £500.
If you are after a classic frame to build up then that still sounds a bit much. Ciocc are nice but nothing special compared to the myriad of other Italian builders. I have a classic Colnago that cost me £500 by the time I bought it and had it resprayed etc. It is worth that to me but I don't reckon it's worth that if I come to sell.

Ciocc are lovely, but you could get something a lot lovelier for that moolah (if you're just after a frame). I'm a particular fan of Chesini and Somec at the moment...

I can't get a pic of it, sorry. If I was to be cheeky what kind of price should I ask my mate to bring it down to? He's also offered me some handbuilt wheels, they're fer nettuno rims and ambrosio hubs, what would they be worth? All the advice is very much appreciated btw!!

the ciocc logo is like an ace of spades or maybe a church, can't remember, it has an ace of spades cut out under the bb.

I May have a ciocc track frame for sale if you're interested, your mates sounds pretty similar to mine, PM me if your interested.
Hi,
I'm a bit of a newbie to fixies etc. Coming from a track and road racing background. I'm after a fixie and a friend has offered me a frameset but i'm not sure if it's worth what he is asking for it. My friend has offered me a barely used Ciocc frameset from the late 70's its beautiful with some chrome etc and I think I've fallen for it. But, he's asking for £500 for it, it's not actual cost that's a problem, it's whether this frame is worth that? How much would it be worth? He says it's got it's original paint and he's only ridden it once in the summer, should i be asking him for a lower price or biting his hand off to buy at this price?
Any help really is much appreciated, I'll try respond quick but I'm out at the tour at the moment so Internet connection is hard to find
