Thank you both. The pics don't do the colour justice. It's a pearlescent blue/purple colour. Looks much better under sunlight or with a decent camera.
The cost would depend on the state of the original cycle you managed to find. Mine was a heap so the only original parts I couldn salvage were the bottom bracket axle. Everything else had to be sourced. The paint I chose was quite expensive as well.
If you find a decent frame that doesn't need re painting with re usable handle bars/saddle/wheels/crank for fairly cheap then it won't cost you much except for a freewheel/track cog conversion for the back.
