What a great day.
Inter Borough School Tourney: Bigger than the London Open
4 courts innit!
And all that was wrapped up in 5:30 hours of smooth organisation.
Let me find a pic on my phone. -

Are they playing with unlimited goals?
The kids are on it! -

'course!
they'll be playing the London league and show you how it's done in a couple of months! -

It was a really well run tournament I thought, 4 courts with amazing surface, loads of Trailnet people helping out with everything, even one assigned to each of us to help get teams ready courtside at the end of each game. Made for a very smoothly run day.
Some of the kids were really very good, and the final few games of the elimination were often a close run thing. And at least 70 (!) bikes kitted out for polo, including wheel discs, though the gear they were running looked a little too big.
12 teams, full round robin, then single elim, all in less than 5 hours.

what a day!
Must have been 80 kids playing today and 90% of the adults were pretty keen too. Unlimited goals is the future, no doubt.Massive props must go to Josh as Chair of the LHBPA who it seems has put an enormous amount of work into this and the product was there to see as the whole thing ran seamlessly and it was truly impressive stuff. There was talk with the council people and schools about setting up an inter school league, maybe running it concurrently with the London League. Seriously amazing work Josh and great left turn/crashing technique on the way home too!
So awesome
Also Paul, we all got booze for helping out so i have your bottle of wine

Awesome day!
Thanks so much to Ben, Cedric and Paul, wouldn't have been possible without you.
Truly amazing to see so many kids getting involved with the sport (and the equally involved PE teachers!), and seeing the skills they had learnt so quickly. Also amazing to have such positive feedback from the visiting Councillors, and of course the amazing team of Councillors and trailnet who set it all up.
Roll on the next one!

Ooo, cheers, I'll give it to my mum or something...
I didn't really get a chance to talk to any of the councilors, though the thought of a London schools league sounds great, if we can get other councils involved.

One PE teacher in particular said he'd be more than happy to organise a schools league for the schools who already have equipment, which would be great to grow out of.

Looking at the sports centre's website:
12 floodlit hard play courts for netball, tennis or soccer
And on a map:
Any idea of what the sports centre thought of Bike Polo on their courts?
Potential unlimited team Worlds in 2014/15?
2 throw in courts, plus 10 tournament courts, would be enough for 100 team Swiss, a full double elim, and at least 15 minutes per game, all in 2 days. 3 days you could have 200 team Swiss and a full single elim.
