  • I tested a pair of airless tyres on my old Downhill Rig, I'll confidently say that even though I was on a route I knew and was confident with, using airless tyres made that route ridiculous. It changed the feel of the bike, the suspension settings had to be changed to compete with the firmness of the tyres.

    I did 2 runs, got to the car and changed back to Tubes and proper tyres. Airless/solids for the road. Nah, not for me. If I get a puncture I'll change tubes and repair the puncture when I get home. Some systems work for a very good reason, because of their simplicity. Personal opinion, just saying.
