What did you think of Reina, Valdes and Lloreal celebrating in full kit even thought they didn't play? And what of Puyoll and Villa even though they were not even in the squad.
Muppet.
I didn't see any of them lead the team up the steps and collect the trophy though
Poor Torres scored lesss that Andy Carroll this season

Was there a third place play off? Can't find anything on the Internet about it. If there was, what was the score?
Nope, not in the Euros.
Germany would have won it though.

Dicki, dear chap. The wife beating thug from upon Tyne scored 10 goals this season and Nando managed 12. Both are not great returns for a striker. Torres won the Champions League, FA Cup and the European Championships over the course of the last 5 or 6 weeks, more then Carroll will ever win in his entire career.
Shall we put this boring comparison to rest for once and forever?

Deserved champions and Ive no doubt that they will be the template for many a nations footballing structure. England take note...
England can take as many notes as they want - they're not good enough. Even with all the apparent talent that we have there isn't a manager on earth who could make England play like that.
As for the Moyes comparison - he only played with no strikers because they were all enjoying the benefits of the treatment room.

didn't we draw with spain in a friendly just before the euro's
we could have done a chelsea against spain and held them to a boring 0-0 draw in the final ... had we got there ? possibly ? don't you think ? -

and then lost to them on penalties

You're sooo wrong. They're building St Georges. And they have Gareth Southgate, Sir Trevor Brooking Stuart Pierce and Roy Hogdeson - all known for their progressive football approach - in critical postions to lead us to tiki taka heaven.
So glad they swerved the likes of Hoddle.

Hoddle just wouldn't have allowed raspberries in the offices.
Southgate - hardly Pep Guardiola
Pearce - let him deal with the Olympic team and when that fails put him out to pasture
Sir Trev - knew 'Arry was a crook so installed Vanilla Roy
Roy "the plan's working" Hodgeson - as effective as Boumsong. -

but we played far better than England... far more convincing and really took the game to Spain... We are a hard working team and play attractive football...

Spain were all over that final, determined to show all the Tiki-Taka haters that they knew nothing, smothered italy with high pressure and let the smallest man on the park score the first goal with a header.
No striker, who cares! Spain were in control of the match from minute one. Italy had chances but Pirlo was snuffed out by the ball playing midfielders who harried him from the off.
better technique, more hunger, higher tempo, Spain were class in a glass and the fans who were in the stadium who whistled when they passed the ball longer than a five player string, and then proceeded to perform the mexican wave where spain were in possession need to have a right talking too. When the best football team of a generation/century come to town it's best to watch and take notes.
Xavi and Iniesta were the ones for me, Iniesta in the Messi role, probing, dribbling, dropping a shoulder and looking for a gap. All wit and intelligence.
Who will bet against Spain for the World Cup in 2014, the majority of the squad will still be playing, and I'm assuming Del Bosque will still be in charge, and which country has the requisite team of ball players to keep enough possession to hurt them?
Argentina maybe? If they find the right coach! Brazil? I'm sure every friendly they host between now and the world cup will be hotly viewed.
But really Spain could become the first team to win four major tournaments in a row...
Ps.
Good times down at the effra hall, with Marky, Jonny and the flounce Teen of Slain, all sorts of hula hoop action going on...spot on corndog, particularly the PS. diapo is the hula queen of south london

disagree with this... after the Italian affair, the German team were exposed on several occasions and the Portuguese hard working ethics would have meant a goal or two especially after the way we played against Spain... We left the competition with pride!
Nope, not in the Euros.
Germany would have won it though.

Weren't they subs, so had a good reason to be in their kit?

Knew the 10 man thing would read its head. Those that dont like the way they play football will always have that to hold over their heads.
Spain are terrific technically and hella competitive and took Italy apart. Deserved champions and Ive no doubt that they will be the template for many a nations footballing structure. England take note...Well, well well.... España y olé!!! Many journalists out there and some 'experts' in here will have now to swallow their skeptical words. We play well and yesterday we play as who we are , The best!

The great thing is we can both believe we are right.
I still have the misguided belief Germany would have beaten Spain.
