The only sprung one I've used was the B67

...which I found comfortable. However, if it was going to have a mixed road/rando style position then I think it would be a bit too big. But I did like the springs and do plan on buying a flyer/flyer special at some point:

As for the pedals, I'd worry less about looks and buy some of those one sided shimano pedals so you can run clips
