Is this really viable? A typical Alej pole is thin enough at the end already, putting a tap in there will just create weak spots. Or would it? Are the new Magic mallets like this?
Also, 'Nutsert' failed this weekend. One of the Newmarket guys had his mallet in a hook situation and the head, bolt and nutsert all fell out of the pole.
