Wanted: Wacom Graphics Tablet

Posted on
  • Seen there's a few digital artists around here - anyone got one they want to sell?

  • I have a Wacom Graphire 3 A6 graphics tablet

Old but Barely used. I just couldn't get used to using a tablet.

    Specs here: http://www.tablet4u.co.uk/products/en/graphire3-tablets.html

It has a mouse and a pen, both work fine.

Wacom are really good about doing drivers for lots of operating systems.
    shall we say £20?

  • niall, your linkis broken ;-)

  • fixed now

  • i have a wacom intuos 2 - a5

£30 if i can find the pen... £20 if not?

  • ^ bargains in this thread!

If you do end up going for a new tablet rather than secondhand, I would recommend saving your money and going for the excellent Bamboo, rather than buying an Intuos like I did. The Bamboo has all the features that I need as a non-professional user - I wish I'd gone for one instead!

  • ^ I'll second the suggestion of a bamboo. Got a new one at work this week for travel use. Very nice bits of kit, and nice pricepoint too. Still doesnt beat a nice big A3 though ;)

20squids is a good pricings for an intuos2 for sure.

  • Which size Bamboo to people recommend for line drawing in Illustrator. Are the A5s ok?

I couldn't comment on it with use in IIlustrator, but the new Bamboo touch and go seems to work well for Photoshop for sketching and rendering. I think the size is decent enough and design wise its quite nice with facetted buttons and combined pen holder, but for what I use a tablet for I definately like the larger surface area...

    Heres the touch and go...

edit. and the touch bit is like a tablet computer style hand flicks, nice way to navigate round stuff.

  • I got my A4 intous 2 from the bay for around £90, if you are in for a bit of luck, you could get one for about £70. Now I don't even use my mouse or track pad much.

  • I have an Intuos 2 oversized A4 tablet with Pen and brand new mouse (old one broke).
