what outer cables have you used? I put the same levers on Scoot's new bike but the Shimano outers I've got go right through the hole in the top of the hoods.

You might need those little rubber grommet stopper things.
Though saying that Ben doesn't seem to have used them.

I did use grommets, regular Weinmann etc size. it's just the hood is a bit displaced upward at the moment, so you can't see it.
Really they should come in the packet but they're not hard to find. -

Very nice.
I have some NOS Dia Compe 962 cantilevers. They're not the same as the ones shown in the catalogue but they're the same period (and shiny silver). I think they may work better with the narrower distance between the canti bosses. If you want to keep things period just drop me a pm and I'll sort out some pics.

Cages are 80s Trek believe it or not. the style is called Angel I think. Velo Orange make nice Angel ones. to be found @ TFG.
