For my sins, I once had a Create, back in the mists of time when I knew little more than orange bike = get all the babes.
For me it wasn't the ends or the welds that were the problem, but the components. The wheels were appallingly broke, and shed spokes like a big hairy dog spreads its follicles. The NDS crank arm first worked its way loose, and then later snapped under normal pedalling, the right pedal split leaving just an axle.
I'm surprised the bottom bracket didn't wilt when chappy up there^^^ started skidding.
