It is but how long can you trust them. If it's friends it's okay but I'm not at all trusting in zombie apocalypses (I'm one of the people who would kill another player for more food without thinking about it).
Also it's persistent so if you get a load of stuff you can keep it with your character and people will want your fancy shit.
