You only need to catch them once to give them a quick reminder that with age comes wisdom, that, and the fact that it's only cheating if you get caught! "I don't know what you mean sir, I slipped and his head got in the way."

Watched the semis of the Junior (u20s) world championship, my god there is some exciting talent coming through in the next few years.

I think I finished every single game last season on a 'one more infringment and its a yellow' warning. All tactical infringments. Its a talent ;)

Very clinical from the AB's, it really shows the depth we have in spades. Poor from Ireland though, they dropped their heads after the first 20mins and never looked like nudging back into the game. Immense game from Mccaw and Romano, SBW played the best he has to date IMO, and Conrad Smith is the best distributor of the ball around. Again, Cian Healey (sic) was far and away the best of the Irish.

Looks like I'm playing in a special 'Old-boys' team for the National 7s tournament this weekend.
chews tip of pipe, and curls toes in plaid slippers
I got head hunted by the Fiji'ns a couple days before the tournament. So played for them instead.
Such a fun couple days of rugby! And I dont even really like 7s.
The 'old boys' ended up being 6 old forwards, and a single young back. Watching them committ 5/6 players to repeated rucks and mauls, while a undersized opposition near died of exhaustion, made me wish I was with them :)
My team was full of individual talent. As a support/defensive player, I had to run around like a headless chicken, constantly changing my game depending on who had the ball. Sometimes we were amazing, sometimes apalling, rarely anything inbetween.
Having none of the forementioned talent, I became more aggresive as the games progressed. My last action was to charge an opposition forward line, knocking down two players, and bringing two with. To eventualy run out of steam on the try line, hand the ball to our young starling, and watch him ground it. Made my weekend.
The important thing for me, and the remaining players of my now all but defunct team. Is that we did a good job marketing ourselves, as rugby whores, willing to play for anyone for a pint.
So plenty more rugby to come....

So last week I was the youngest player on our (very social) team (31) the eldest was a good quarter of a century older than me. We beat a team who regularly train together with an average age of 25ish by knicking it in the last minute and I felt fantastic. This week our 3/4 were completely different and they let in a number of VERY soft tries despite our tight five dominating and I feel like shit, can't wait for the season to progress so that we can establish a core team to show more youngin's up. How is everyone else's season starting?
Ps the Aussies were shit today.

Nice, now let's get the Heineken Cup sorted out.
CB - care to predict the result for the Boks vs. AB this weekend?

Oh dear, Ross Ford has proclaimed that we can beat the All Blacks in November. Now I'm a very optimistic follower of Scottish rugby (you have to be) but this is not realistic and is setting us up for a massive fall.

My cousin's 21st coming up and he's a massive rugby fan (plays for Colts/Wasps youth or something like that)
Anyone have anything unwanted lying around that he'd like for a present? signed game balls, shirts etc would be ace if it was Wasps related too..
long shot.....
Thanks
England however are showing none of the determination nor skill of the other northern hemisphere nations who lost today.
