I actually do just want to sell some wheels that I think I bought via LFGSS back in 2007. Not so into the FG / SS thing anymore. I don't think that is really spamming though. i used to be more active.

I know the feeling, I found some stuff on the for sale threads, and all I could do was view the poster's profile, then I noticed the top bit about the nursery etc.
I understand the need for it, some of the other forums I'm on, new members that haven't discovered the massive search button or even looked for something resembling the right area get completely flamethrowered within a day.
Usually one or two helpful people nudge them in the right direction before they are totally disheartened.

Is there any way to have posters give the price, so you don't have to go into each and every ad to find the price? Realise this wouldn't work for multi items but would probably save people a lot of time..

Hello all... My first post and 23 hours and 55 minutes to go..

I used to run a photo forum with about 10,000 members and while I never had a nursery there, the idea in hindsight might have been pretty useful to help gently introduce new members.
From the new member side it's slightly annoying, but as Gordon279 says, what's three posts and 24hrs really?

If you think that is annoying, I joined a forum the other day, only to receive an email telling me that I had to reply with my postal address before they would approve my membership. They can fuck right off.

Just in case there is a fire.
