I would only be able to get there by 12 as I have school in the morning, would that still be at all useful to you?
-

Thanks for letting me know now Felix, no worries.
Rob, you'd be more than welcome to come down (and it would be much appreciated), but obviously don't stress it.
Everyone else, please let me know whether you are definitely coming or not asap! A lot has gone into the tournament, especially by all the schools and kids, so we can't let everyone down now!

Josh, I've been rotaed in to work (depsite asking for it off1000 times) until 4pm. I'll ask to leave early but I doubt I'd get there before 5pm but if you need help packing up or whatever...
-
• #37
Thanks Jess, but packing up isn't an issue we just need help with reffing during the actual tournament, so no worries.

The two girls in my lesson on Monday were waaaaay better than the boys! Sadly, the school had not bothered to do half the sessions so some of the kids were still struggling with the basics. Hope they have fun tomorrow!

im gonna get the train from Liverpool st to Ilford i reckon (takes 15 mins) and then ride from Ilford, looks like it should take around 20 mins on polo gear, hows everyone else getting there?
Also, as theres only 4 polo players (josh, cedric, paul, me) will we be doing a demo match? If not ill bring the road bike and ride there....
-
• #48
I'm cycling over to Stratford then up the route that Josh posted.
Anything for a free lunch. -
• #49
Feel free to road bike it Ben, looks like a demo match won't happen. Although if you bring your polo stuff we will be able to play after the tournament, so your call.

tbh i kinda need to head off fairly soon after the tournament cause i have stuff to do so ill ride over on the roadie then. see you all tomorrow
Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of further info till now.
It is no longer necessary for you to be CRB checked! so everyone is welcome, thanks for your support.
We need to be there for 11am on the day, will be finished up around 6.30pm.
To get there:
Other than just making your own way
There is a very easy route from aldgate:
http://goo.gl/maps/ZnDe
Or you can get the tube from Leyton (bikes allowed on the underground at this point) to Fairlop, which is just round the corner from the sports centre.
Our main job is reffing. There will be plenty of time after the tournament to play on the beautiful courts.
They would also like a demonstration game at some point, but if you don't want to bring your polo bike then say so now.
We all need to wear the same shirt, so wear an LII shirt if you have one, and if not let me know and I'll give you one.
List of people 100% in!
