I'm not saying it's bad, but, to me, this dia de los muertos theme in tattooing is like a trend gone old.
And I've seen it done better as well.
The image itself is nice, but imagine how her hair will fade / melt down in a couple of years, as well as a lot of the soft shadings in her face.
Also not a fan of the way white ink is being used in that tattoo.Ah ok I've only just found out what it's of/about, I was looking for pirate tattoos on google images and came across that one, didn't know anything about the day of the dead.
How does shading like that fare over time? I'm thinking of getting something done in a similar style but if it's going to look shit after a while I may have to reassess

Ho Ho, I wish!
It's a pipedream for me to get a Lagergren.
Have to make do with Dom Holmes for the time being

Liking that six shooter. The handle looks a little odd for some reason though.
Great to see you're getting better! The handles on those western style six-shooters do look a bit funny, because there's no curve to accommodate the web of the thumb. Most modern pistols have a reverse curve or at least a sort of shoulder behind which the web of the thumb sits safely.
compared to a more modern design:
I've often wondered if people ever got injured by the hammer pinching the hand as it moved backwards.
(Disclaimer: I don't like guns - I'm actually quite frightened of them and of what they do to wielders' minds.)
Cool tattoo designs though. I recently saw a doris on Berwick street in a miniskirt, with a fairly realistic AK-47 image in line work on her leg. It looked utterly idiotic, regardless of execution. I think that guns could be a contentious subject matter for tattoos, although the old school execution is definitely better!

Hey JordanD. Your work is getting really good. Would you care to tell me a little about your media and technique? I'd like to try to be more tight and tidy in my school work.

Got some new ink on Friday by Becca at Jayne Doe - sorry for the porny pose, only way I could get it all in. Also I like pulling porny poses.

I've never seen you contribute anything of value in any thread you've posted in; you bitch and you whine and you snide and you woman-hate and you just generally reek of fail. Why is that? Genuinely interested.

any recommendations for somewhere good and fairly cheap for tattoo removal?
-
• #5523
Better a cover up than a removal. Unless it's been done fairly recently and you need to thin it out a bit?
-
• #5524
laser it off and get it covered?
I know Claire from tattoo-a-gogo used to do the lasering when she was at hepcat, dunno if they still do it at gogos though.

it's already a cover up so dont think it can be covered over again. yeah any recommendations for laser removal, will give tattoo a go-go a call nothing on their website though
Thanks! You've inspired me to get some ink and brushes out but, goddamn I need some practice :-)
