not hills the whole way, just uphill the whole way. like always 1%/2%. Could have been the headwind. Some lovely sections though.

Whoever it was running 46/14 may want to seriously re-think that gear choice. Somewhere in the 69 to 73 inch range would be good.

Additionally at around 56k in following 30k of steady 1-2% there is a relatively steep twisty descent. A front brake is most definitely recommended (Whilst it may be possible to do the route brakeless I would strongly urge against).

Also, hope for a tail wind.
