  • Custom Nagasawa track/road trainer
Had a Japanese friend place an order for me and this popped out
Currently rebuilding this one but here it is as it was

  • Yerrrr

  • This one is the best.

  • wow. Paint job is really something

  • honestly my favourite bike

  • beauty, very nice, the finish is fantastic.

  • What are you going to change?

  • Ti quill stem, Ti seatpost, Phil Ti BB, King Ti headset, new wheelset, new bars
It's gong to be pretty amazing, will post soon, just waiting on bars to come in

  • holy mother of jesus..

  • the bike I want the most

  • What seatpost you going for? And is it 26.8 or 27.2?

  • 27.2 campy Ti record

  • Just wow...

  • This is unreal mate, great call. Not to mention all your other bikes ;)!
Just wondering if there was a reason you went for external routing, if you're happy w it and if you'd recommend that or internal? Having a track bike w drillings made and initially thought internal but now looking at yours i can't decide!
Many thanks and good luck w the rebuild. Tom

  • I did it so I could easily take off brakes and cables IF I ever wanted to take it to the track
But honestly I like the way it looks

  • ^^ external rear brake cabling is generally lighter than internal routing. It's also less hassle (e.g. on a steel frame the internal routing can be a rust trap) and the braking performance is slightly better. Not that much in it though.

  • finished up the build, its a couple pounds lighter than the previous build so ride is definitely snappier, titanium phil lockring and hub internals (axle, hubcones, bolts) phil Ti BB, Chris king Ti headset, Ibis Ti quill, record Ti seatpost, Ti water bottle bolts, Ti brake bolts
Kinda dorked out on the Ti bits, but hey, it's a special bike
most likely will take off rim decals

  • I'm not familiar with Campag stuff. What caliper is that? And what width tyres are you running? I've got a tarck frame with the fork drilled but I have no idea how the fuck you'd fit a brake on...

Oh, lovely bike by the way. I do like those C2s. What are they like to ride on?

  • Still the perfect bike.

  • nagasawa. hes the hattori hanzo of the bike world.

i have fantasies about visiting him in japan, where he takes me into his secret attic.

"no , my son , that one"

  • Wow, that really is something.

Although it probably rides nicer and feels better, gotta say I prefer it in the first pic, just looks 'faster'

brake levers and calipers are both campy record, tires are 23c, but the wide Hed rims push them out to 25c
the c2 rim ride is way smoother than the last wheelset, really rolls over rough roads without as harsh a feel

i think the slammed stem and thinner rim of first build make it look faster, plus I just snapped a horrible picture of the bike , a better photographer not shooting on an i-phone could make it look better

  • Loving the stem in particular.

  • So I need to make one more post to get out of the 'nursery' apparently...

...and I can't think of a better way of using it than on this thread, saying:

    Beautiful looking build, Rosss
