• Since we're onto stereotypes; I have seen various statistics suggesting that the average London cyclist has a considerably higher income than the average London driver. (Guardian + The Economist).

    I feel that cycling in London has gotten way safer in the 5 years I've been cycling daily, and I am guessing this is because of the increased awareness of cyclists. These days pretty much everyone has a friend or family member who cycles to work so the general anti-cyclist aggro seems to be cooling off.

    Except for a certain group of professional drivers amongst whom the vindictive and intentional aggression seems to be getting worse by the day. My theory is that the British public have by and large accepted the middle class cycling stereotype and that the shit we get from proffessional drivers is just another example of UK class war.
