Thanks for the advice, I'll make that change to the .tcx tomorrow and we'll try it out on Monday.

Also on the way out of London, if you want to avoid Finchley hill I think riding along Bishops Avenue gets you mostly around it rather than up and over it.
-
• #305
why would we wish to avoid finchley hill?
-
• #306
i used to go through finchley hill every second day with a 18/46 ss, thats was fun. But now with a 14/46 fixie... I don't know, but I'm curious! (;) ...:S)

• #307

-
• #308

Sadly Out.
Was really looking forward to this but two weekends of dodgy knee-ness mean I can't do this..
The slower group: 100k
Circa 4 - 4.25 hours including stops
Sociably paced 15 average with "comfort breaks" if/when required.
No one will be dropped.
If you like a nice ride with good company and the occasional chat this is the one for you.1) Skydancer - Fixed
2) Bluefleet - SS or geared, not decided yet
3) Hairnet - SS
4) Oliver Schick - TBC
5) conker (ian) - fixed
6) tom k&e - probably SS
7) bothwell - fixed
8) Lady Liz - tbc
9) Edmundro - geared
10) Skully - fixed
11) Doctor Cake - geared
12)
13) blowfish - undecided
14) Kamilla - fixed
15) BenJam - GizzeredThe fast group - 2×100k:
Sub 3 hours out, no wee stops.
6pt reckons he could do it 19–20mph average solo so we'll be looking to improve on that as a group. I will also endeavour to teach him that his choice of unit is inferior.
People doing the fast ride one way will be frowned upon (unless they happen to carry on for a solo century warm down).1) Hillbilly - Geared
2) Dammit - Geared
3) Object - Geared (Assuming I can convince someone to lead the other group)
4) joe smith - geared up to the eyeballs
5) FridayMarch26th
6.pt - Geared
7) zanda - geared
8) laner - fixed probably
9) avellana - geared (will continue North)
10) mmccarthy - SS
11) mountaingoatmatt - geared
12) SRBradley - geared
13) Sean - geared
14) The Bear - geared -

looking at the end of the ride (the bletchley end) it looks like your aiming for the enigma pub, is that right?
-
• #314
hmmm I'm hearing I may have to go to the Wimbledon Village Fair on Saturday. First world problems. Will be sneaky and try to do both (that is, hammer it then go straight back)
-
• #315
Boo!
-
• #316
Sounds like a "don't have the legs, too scared to admit it" type of excuse
-
• #317
Damn, I need this ride!
-
• #318
nobody told me it's uphill all the sodding way to bletchley :/
-
• #319
Hills the whole way? Whut?! I might totally bedwet this if so because I'm recovering from a stinker of a cold and I don't want to die. Which one of you has the Garmin data with the elevation profile?
-
• #320
not hills the whole way, just uphill the whole way. like always 1%/2%. Could have been the headwind. Some lovely sections though.
-
• #321
Oot, off to Sweden until Sunday. Have a good one folks!
-
• #322
I think it was a combination of hangover and wind - the elev profile doesn't actually look too bad:

• #323
Face it, we can never be together Tom.
-
• #324
feet/miles I think.

It's "The Maths Geek Ride" dude...
Thanks hairnetic! I'm looking forward to it! :)
