A good session. After trying to be clever thinking I could dodge the traffic around Bristol i arrived a bit later than planned. I like at least 20 mins to warm up, but got 10 mins on rollers and 5 mins of the track. 18 riders each did a 200m flying lap to get their times for groups, 1st fastest against 2nd fastest etc. I had two good sprints and one where they forgot to ring the bell. Still haven't got a plan for leading out.
It was also great to watch the faster riders, with the likes of Lee Povey and Tom Baker really hammering along. Amazing to see how effective 'rushing the gap' is with these guys. Oh, and my 200m time was 12.78s, 0.22s off of my target time for this season. Which is now clearly attainable. Roll on the Nationals! -

Sounds good. Any more of these coming up? I'd be keen for June 29th if it's an option.

Unfortunately, the last sprint session is on 22nd June 2012 and then that's it until after the Olympics and Paralympics have finished.
I think I can get 3 track bikes in my car. PM if you'd like to come along on 22nd. Leave from North Acton tube 2.45pm. Back around midnight in C. London.

That's a shame, the 29th was my only chance of getting down.
A bit more notice this time.
CC Cardiff match sprint practice event from 7pm on 15th June 2012. 200m TT for seedings, then run as a ladder. Each rider should get around 6 or 7 rounds. Finishes around 09.30, back in London around 1am.
Up to two spaces in the car. Share of fuel and tolls plus £10 for the track time. Leave North Acton on around 2.30 - 3pm. If your interested PM me or call 0784641400 I need to reserve places as this is limited to 20 riders.
