as per title, i brought this in october, and just got around building it, and find out that the expanding wedge has been done up too much causing deformation of the base of the quill stem (which i suspect is what caused the fork that came with the frame to have a rippled steerer too),
so the problem is that the stem wont go in nicely into the headset+fork, any idea if the stem is salvagable or going to have to be made into an wall mount art piece?, the stem is reall nice and polished and the bar i have with it is nice too, would really like to put it to use,
