IF you can wait, get one of these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Watt-LED-Flashlight-Torch-Bike-Bicycle-Rear-Light-R-/160431059427?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Cycling_Bike_Lights&hash=item255a6fb1e3
Best bang for your buck by a long distance, got one for my mum and several friends and I have one just as a torch & as a back up light for away trips when I'd rather not take my expensive lights. Not a proper 5 watt but equivalent to a 3 watt LED I purchased some while back so bright enough for most, I can just about use this on its own on a flat known road that is pitch black so as an urban light it is perfect.
Accepts 3xAAA (i use rechargeables personally), has steady & flash option, outer shell is alloy & so far had no problems with rain.
