Do many people get the train from ipswich back to london? I'm wanting to go all the way back to manchester but worried i wont get on the train as it changes in london

Can I suggest going North to Norwich (about 10 miles) and then get the cross country, some are direct, to Manchester from there? It will be a hell of a lot easier than going south via Ipswich/Liverpool Street ...
