But can't you just imagine, some kid goes along, gets the piss taken out of him but he continues to go, he turns out to be a bit of a natural and eventually gets entered into a match way out of his league. He wins as a surprise upset and gets promoted onto an even tougher fight. This is when the coach finally takes notice, it snaps him out of the lull he has been in since he stopped fighting. Cue montage footage of them both training together, maybe the coach teaches him some of his personal tricks and techniques. The fight comes, it looks lost, they get in to the third round when the kid breaks out one of these new techniques and it's a clean KO. Everyone cheers, the coach is happy and joking says "not bad for a nerd".
