Guys, surely more than one of those Genesis models exists in London, no?
I think we need some distinguishing features on the bike.

My stolen Genesis had black saddle, post, bars and tape. Same white frame in size 60.

Just seen something really suspicious. Last week I was having a drink at the Alma pub in Wandsworth Town and I saw a 25-35 yr old guy riding a Langster Monaco (White with blue and red detail) with distinctive green bartape. I literally just saw a dodgy looking 16-18 yr old riding exactly the same bike up the road at the parade of shops at the top of East Hill.
My bike was stolen just a few days ago from the same place as I saw the boy, which is why I was so suspicious. I followed him from afar as I was sure the bike was stolen, and saw which house he went into.
Does anyone know someone who has had a bike matching this description stolen in Wandsworth over the past week? The green bartape was particularly distinctive. If so please get them to get in contact with me!
Might be worth asking in Strattons if they have heard of anyone having a bike nicked recently... -

PatChurch - have a chat to the chap in Strattons, I was talking to him a week or two ago, and he said that there is a family down one of the streets that way that are well known to the police, that he is certain are stealing bikes. It may well be the same place as you saw.
He's tried the local police, who don't seem interested, but the cycle task force haven't been contacted as far as I know. I only thought to mention them to him after I left, and I've not seen him since.
Hope this helps!
Mark, I think his name is...
I worked as a social worker in Wandsworth. I am aware that there was a family Living nearby who have been stealing bikes, etc. and selling for scrap for ages (years). pretty sure the police are aware of them.
I think I can say that and still remain confidential -

mind you, there's loads of dodgy peeps in Wandsworth anyway. Also check the New Covent Garden Jumble sale every sunday in Vauxhall- hookey bikes ahoy...
(Perhaps we need a thread detailing know spots where thieves get rid of bikes? That way we don't have to repeat ourselves all the time?)

There are currently 20 polis doing a stolen goods search of the bike stall in Netil market at the top of broadway market e9.
Don't know about the business but if you have had anything pinched out this way recently it could be worth popping down...

Yea I have actually spoken to him concerning my bike. What I really need to do i find the guy who owns the Langster so that I can get the police over to the house. I am really suspicious that this kid was involved in the theft of my Giant, but can't be sending the police to houses on a whim.

Hello guys.
I recently (thursday) had my bike stolen. I have listed it on bike shepard. Here is the link
Its a Custom GT Chucker, custom in that its a single speed mountain bike, so quite unique.
The reason I am posting here is, I do not live in London and cannot afford to travel to Brick Lane or other markets to try to find it, but have heard that many stolen bikes from Kent end up in London markets. If any of you cool lot are browsing the bikes at the market could I pleeeease ask you to just keep your eyes open for my chucker. I will very willingly buy it back.
It's my absolute baby and I miss it so much. It's been reported to Canterbury police, but as with all bike crime, it's no priority.
Thank you all.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for all the photos but if it helps me find my bike it can only be a good thing! Top photo is the bike before it's recent refurb... Finished 2hours before it got taken from outside shoreditch church on Friday during the England v Sweden game. It was attached to a friends black single speed by a Kryptonite D-Lock and I'm guessing they carried both bikes away after getting through his locks. So may have some marks on the top tube from when it was removed.
Bike was fitted with all components in the pictures, easily identifiable Brown charge spoon saddle, brand new black affix mtb pedals, Tektro Bmx brake levers, vintage chrome forks and new Wandaking tyres. The frame has an old paint job, which doesn't look professional and a the odd bit of rust - showing it's age. What makes it so annoying was I'd only had it on the road for a week (if that), only ridden a couple times. I'm thinking it might turn up at a bike market in East London. If you see it, please let me know on here or email arranbusk@gmail.com.
Thanks all.

Ok not strictly FG / SS / full size bike related but my massively useful Dahon Jetstream P8 just got stolen this afternoon...
I've been locking it to a 10ft street sign pole for last 2 years without trouble, couple of ft from my office front door on Rochester Place, Kentish Town - Fuckers climbed up on that car bonnet, unscrewed street sign in broad daylight and pulled it over the top, lock still attached...
http://www.dahon.com/bikes/2011/jetstream-p8Has mudguard on back wheel only...
I'll be down Brick Lane on Sunday as standard... If you see this anywhere on road, let me know! -

Fuuck! about 50 yards from my house.
My landlord got his stolen bike back from cash converters on Kentish Town Road.
A couple of the barber shops down the road often have an everchanging array of bikes outside. Not seen any folders though.
Goodluck getting it back.Ok not strictly FG / SS / full size bike related but my massively useful Dahon Jetstream P8 just got stolen this afternoon...

My friend's Raleigh Randonneur has been pinched in Cambridge. It happened on Saturday night, 16th June.
As you can see it's very distinctive with a red saddle and frame and red and black bar tape. Apparently they were never painted red in production, so quite a unique number!
The holes made for the pump were custom and it has dynamo lights.
me and some mates will scour the markets this weekend in London, but if any Cambridge-based folks could keep their eyes peeled and let us know if you see anything out there.
Thanks a lot.
