I was once told a long yarn in a Manchester pub..........
British gas employed a specialist group of engineers to design their next coin operated gas meter. The engineers worked for a year to produce a tamper proof design, and took a further year to get a production model made. It took scousers 3 months to figure out how to wangle them.
