Nice.
Although it doesn't say name a price in the rules it will stop lots of boring people like me telling you to put a price up...

- Cinelli Gazzetta track frame size 59 cm - 380
- Campagnolo record pista crankset - 170
- Campagnolo record pista bracket - 50
- Campagnolo record headset - 40
- Cinneli titanium front & pista bar - 100
- Cinelli titanium post ?
- All City front & rear hub - 30
- Rigida DP 18 rims - 50
- San Marco Regal saddle - 40
- Brooks leather grip - 40
- Classic Schwalbe tires - 40
- Classic Shimano paddles with leather straps - 30
so £970 (approx, for all new parts) you've built this up, and want your money back? bear in mind that 1 euro on the continent gets you about what a pound does here
Not trying to blow you out of the water, but someone with 1000 euros to spend could do better with second hand parts, though if you want to get your money back and split, I could be interested in the Ti seatpost and stem.

I think the problem with people trying to sell pre-built bikes out of expensive parts, and expecting to make their money back, is that all those parts together will never be everyone's taste. One person may fall in love with it and think £1000 is a bargain, 99.9999% of people will think it looks like shit.*
In short, easy to sell parts, near impossible to sell complete. Don't build bikes for other people without consulting them.
*It is hideous.

You done a sweeeeet job.

- Classic Shimano paddles (55 euro)
Come on guys, show some appreciation! I'd say 1000 EUR for an amphibious vehicle is actually quite a bargain.

I think this might be your issue, we do and we also know that new prices once built into a bike = second hand so worth a lot less.
Glad you like building bikes, but you won't make your money back or near to it with this.

Overpriced

You probably have a better chance getting a price like that on ebay.

Nice frame.
The real problem is that you are trying to sell your bike on a forum in the UK where
a.) The inhereant value of used goods is much lower than in the rest of Europe and
b.) Despite popular opinion most things (beer, bike parts, hifi, cars even) are cheaper than on the continent.
c.) Retail is far more competitive (full price and mark down) than anywhere outside the US.This did not used to be the case but the Euro dollar kind of fucked you. ...I remember the price of a hooker doubled over night when you went from the Guilder.
Good luck and all that though.

Everyone has already said all the obvious stuff, but I want to add just this:
Natural look leather is fine with green, but not THAT green.

Wouldn't know, I've never lasted more than 3 minutes.
-
• #22
I think it's a really nice build actually.
If you were trying to sell it for around £500-600 I'm sure you'd do well.

@Tom(mmmmmm)
My thoughts entirely.
