  • Not all scaffolders are wankers. On the other hand, they are all generally extremely hard.

I'm sure they aren't but the one I saw were driving like absolute wankers through side streets in the rain

  • They're scaffolders - they're allowed.

Very few people get apologies from scaffolders, because very few ask.

  • lol. I just flick them the finger and carry on about my day. I don't need an apology

  • Back of a scaffolders van on the M25 read "make sure your next erection is in safe hands" I felt harder just by being on the same road as him.

  • Let me think about that.........no. Ukraineand sweden both showed more skill, technique, ball control, pace, ability to beat a man and desire to attack. quite frankly England are a fucking embarassment/disgrace

Correct. You should be a pundit.

I thought England looked alright, we must of been watching different games seeing as Ibrahimovic was Sweden's best player, and one of his shots went off for a throw-on.

  • And he scored.
    And missed a header.

Or did you miss those bits?

  • A tap in from 6 yards out, and a header he should have buried.

  • Whereas you are off the fucking scale.

  • Doesn't post often, ghosts into position, slams what looks like an easy chance away.
    andyp: take a fucking bow.

  • Were Sw and Ukr playing one of the tournament favourites? Were England? Spot the difference?

France were/are hardly tournament favourites when they went into the tournament. That label could be applied to Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.

  • I don't expect him to score every goal, and seeing as he plays for one of the best Italian teams i would expect him to be able to get into a scoring position. But my point is neither Sweden or Ukraine looked stronger than England. The reason why they may have looked better going forward could simply be because they were both playing weaker teams.

And don't take it too seriously dude, I can feel your hot breath on my screen.

  • I'm still loving the ignore function fucknuts.

  • You think Hodgson will tell the team to adopt an attacking philosophy against sweden and ukraine? Lolz.

    :)

I assume this was a response to Captain BellEnd?

  • They are 3rd favourites with William Hill now - maybe up one place since Netherlands lost. They were one of the favourites of the tournament as evidenced byt the fact that they are currently 3rd favourites after one game despite failing to beat england.

I'll happily trust me judgement to the title of favourites. Bookies hardly ever get it right. Knowing the bookies they'll offer the same odds on England if they get into the second round

  • There's no point in arguing who/what defines a 'favourite' as it's only an opinion.. France are more likely than Sweden or the Ukraine to win the whole thing though aren't they? Just admit it..

  • France's ranking with FIFA and UEFA would not suggest they are among the favourites.

  • But that would suggest England are.

  • France's ranking with FIFA and UEFA would not suggest they are among the favourites.

Does it suggest they are better than Sweden & the Ukraine though? That's the contentious issue at the heart of this argument..

  • Bookmakers are always* right.

This is a prime example of getting it wrong.

I'm sure if I would care to trawl through the odds checkers (currently blocked) that there would be tons more to quote. In general they get it right, otherwise they wouldn't be doing the job they do.

  • Haven't we had this discussion before but on the Football Thread? What we learnt was that it doesn't matter if you win matches or not, the way we determine who the best side is by ascertaining who our dear friend Jeez considers to be the best side. It is as simple as that. Quite why UEFA have not cottoned onto this is beyond me. Another example of Platini's imbecility.
