Young and chamberlain are all pace and quick feet and feeding off the knock backs from the big man could see us being very quick on the counter. Chalfie, you say that but England have shown time and again that they can't. So why try and fake it... Even with the small forward line we had, hart, terry and to a certain extent gerrard were knocking the long ball, occassionally the long diagonal, but every so often route one down the center of the park. Carroll would at least challenge for those.

Tell hart to actually play football and pass to the back four rather than hoof it long, tell terry and lescott to look to beat the first man and bring it up past the half way line to pull those holding defenders forward and then get gerrard and Parker to get the ball out to the tricker wingers come forwards..
