  • Chalfie, we don't have the midfield to pass it through teams, no Modric or xavi, or pirlo, but we do have a couple of wannabe iniestas, who could feed off a big man. If even welbeck is winning headers against the French defence then Carroll could be worth a punt (pun intended).

Young and chamberlain are all pace and quick feet and feeding off the knock backs from the big man could see us being very quick on the counter. Now I'd love England to be a great passing side, but the technique and the vision just isn't there at this level, opportunities that we see on the telly, that better players see on the pitch, Englands pass over or never see in the first place. So playing the big man is about cutting your cloth accordingly...

Ps Parkers had a great game, and the ox looks like he could do some damage if he could just make up his mind...

Pps what I really wonder about this squad is the game changers off the bench and if we actually possess any??

Ppps the ref hasn't been calling any of the easy fouls all night, your fucking "world class" players adjust accordingly and stop moaning every time you get a nudge in the back and fall over appealing for a foul, that you shouldn't rightly get anyway..
