I just helped a young woman who had almost had a very nasty fall here, outside the Lee Valley Ice Centre. Someone had strung nylon (something like 10lb braided fishing line) between the bollards that straddle the dedicated cycle lane, on the east side of the bridge that goes over the canal on Lea Bridge Road.
I'm assuming it was some bastard kids. The line went across both sets of bollards, and the part that the poor woman hadn't hit had been wrapped around four or five times, and was pretty difficult to remove. I reported it to the staff inside, but they didn't seem concerned. The woman (Sarah) was in a hurry and left.
Just a heads up. I know a couple of you use the same route, although most people use the bus-lane here. I certainly will from now on.
ps: not sure where to post this. Please moderators, move it somewhere else if you know where is appropriate.
