Although not british, Jamis bikes have a number of frames which have a shorter top tube than the industry standard of squareish c/c or even a long top tube compared to seat tube. Only sold through Evans though.

Homingmissle: Definitely a sensible solution! I thought whilst I am pining for something different I would try a slightly different geometery, see how it feels.
Rive Gauche: Some lovely stuff indeed, where on earth did you get it all/ store it all?

1+n: Thanks for the option. I personally want something a bit old, bit used and abused, something with soul and history.

Oh yea. I remember, you are the guy with the Romany for sale also. So you bought a whole shed full of bargain beauties from slimboy fat @ http://www.lfgss.com/thread84457.html...and now you are going to sell everything back to us, on the same forum, a month later for as much profit as you can? Charming.
Me personally, no thankyou.

I doubt/hope that's not the case, my best guess he's just trying to help this guy out.

Recently missed out on this, gutted.
It measured 56 ST / 53.5 TT.
It got me thinking. I have been looking for a new frame/ bike. Something British, something "classy", 531 tubing etc. Something exactly like the Harry Quinn posted.
I currently ride a 56cm CC ST, which seems fine for me. I like how it looks with that amount of seat post showing, not too much, not too little. I am 5'10 but a lot of that is in my legs, shorter torso.
I have come to the conclusion I do not like being bent over as much if you know what I mean. Want some thing a bit shorter on the top tube, I do not see many frames that go shorter on the toptube though. 56x56 seems normal.
Anyone got something like that Quinn?
Or should I man up and bend over.
