Whoops! Clearly my monitor was too high up. I see it now :-)

That's a Beautiful cat Dammit. Reminds me of my old cat Jazz.
A few months old.
And in his prime, at around 7 years.
I got him at about 3 weeks old when I was 12. Had him for a little over 16 years. He was the undisputed boss of the street, but he sadly died in 2002. He's still greatly missed :-(

Jazz looks awesome, sorry he's gone.
He does indeed look like he could be from the same litter as Higgs.

I think with all the photo's I've taken of my Mum's foster cats over the past 8 years, I could probably search out a match for nearly every cat on here*
*Don't worry I wont!

Georges is 14 and has arthritis so he sleeps more, goes out less, except when it's sunny and loves being in the warm. He's better than a year ago though, we improved his diet so he moves better. He plays sad cat "I'm old! Please carry me".

And this is him, waiting for his fish cakes.
Is it cooked yet?

^ If you're lucky, he might share them!
Medication for arthritis in cats has improved quite a lot since my Jazz had it, so he should be able to get around for good while yet :-)

Not sure what's going on with the pics. Anyway, if anyone has any advice for cats with arthritis let me know. I try to give him more fish like sardines, he has a Seraquin tablet daily, which he loves, and Hills pellets for joint health. The vet also recommended Metacam for his bad days, it didn't seem to help him much.
Oh and Georges has had a chronic cough for a few years too :( The vet is not too worried but to investigate = anaesthesia and x-rays.
Poor sausage.

I'll give my Mum a call tomorrow & ask her opinion. She's always up the vet's for one thing or another. I think she might now have experience of almost every feline ailment going.
I'll let you know when I do :-)

Thanks BareNecessities! There are some horror stories about Metacam so was a bit worried using it.
Recipes for dogs and cats here.
http://www.animalchoices.co.uk/?page_id=591I have a friend who learns animal healing (pets and horses) with Elizabeth Whiter and she has offered some sessions to Georges. It's simply through the hands. I was sceptical but it was fascinating to see Georges's reaction to it and taking to my friend.

There you go V, right way up and everything.
Thanks Will!

I honestly can't remember exactly what Jazz was on.... It's such a long time since he was treated. I do remember that whilst it did the trick, he had to stop having it because of other issues*. It was most probably metacam :-(
- He had a long list of stuff wrong, including hip dysplasia, which wasn't thought to affect cats at the time.
I will check up on the more recent alternatives tomorrow though.

Not my pet, but this cat is at Battersea at the moment. Got damn I am in love. If I didn't already have three I'd take William straight away.

Is he cross eyed, or just pleased to see you?

Heh, cross eyed :-( bless.
She's in the same pouch thing in both photographs, just trying to show how much she has grown after Clefty posted the two pictures of Ze Wolf
