For Sale: 700c 1" chrome racing forks, 240mm steerer

1" 700c Tange chrome race forks, sloping crown, recessed brake nut fitting

Axle to crown: 365mm
steerer length 240mm
threads: 153mm

will fit a 200mm headtube(60-63cm frames) and tange levin cds headset with about 2mm to spare

bought nos, used for 3km* then switched back to my track forks and used a rear clamp on brake. chrome is perfect, still looks new. light grease on top of steerer threads makes it look dark in the photo but its perfect chrome underneath, no corrosion.

it seems to be 38mm, Ill check again tomorrow when my eyes are less tired. I used a digital caliper and lined the centre line of the steerer against my a gap in my floor boards, then measured from the centre of where the axle sits in the drop outs to the floor board gap, very scientific!

I've been waiting three months to find a nice set of chrome forks with a long steerer on here, yesterday I paid over the odds for what I think is crappy pair on ebay.

Me too, but a few months ago. I bought a pair new almost the same. It's the steerer length that's the kicker. Nearly dibsed as a backup, but jimmysav got there first while I was thinking about it.

Well i'll take them, then if I don't need I'll put back up and they'll be yours first.

Not in London, but arrived here from feverish Googling for a sloping crown fork to match a lovely steel bike I am restoring.

The fork is exactly what I am looking for.
