That's a great site. I'd not heard of it before but I've just gone on to use it to look for some stuff.
Some stuff I noticed:
It would be nice to have a filter like you get on shopping sites to rank items by price low-high.It would be nice to have the pictures not so blurry as well.
Finally I've noticed a couple of tiny glitches. For example I searched "fork" and it said there were three items in the price band £2000-£5000 but when I clicked on that in the "Price" dropdown it said there were no results to be found.
Just small things and I feel like a right dick pointing them out while offering zero solution in getting them fixed.
So to summarize: great job!

excellent! would be great if it looked at planet x/on-one, they often have big sales.

Thanks for the feedback - I'll work on those glitches. I'm not sure I can do much about the pictures though, unfortunately - except perhaps make them smaller.
I've added a couple of new pages recently.
- http://www.bikepimp.co.uk/new (recently added stuff)
- http://www.bikepimp.co.uk/popular (stuff people have clicked)
There's also a mailing list for weekly bargains - sign up on any page.
Thanks again for the positive feedback. Hope you continue to find it useful.

would be awesome if everything was categorised ie. saddles, handlebars etc
Hi all,
I've just relaunched BikePimp (http://www.bikepimp.co.uk/) - again!
It was last relaunched in 2008 (see http://www.lfgss.com/thread5400.html), and has been running since 2002 in one form another. I received generally good feedback then, so hope you don't mind me posting again.
This version uses an enterprise-grade search server, so searching is faster and more sophisticated (e.g. when you type 'bb' it matches 'bottom bracket' too). You can filter by brand, and just show discounted stuff.
It's also got a design that adapts well to different screens - and looks quite nice on an iPad, and is usable on an iPhone too (though I've a bit of work to do there).
Here are some links:
I've kept it simple and fast. RSS feeds for home page bargains and individual searches are still there, and there's a weekly mailing list that delivers recently discovered discounts.
For the techies out there, it's built on Rails 3.2 with Mongo/Mongoid and Sunspot/Solr. These are fine tools for geeking indeed.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks - enjoy the sunshine!
