Avoid a company called Global Ticket Market currently advertising Olympic tickets for sale.
In the rush to try and get hold of some tickets I registered on their site and pre-ordered some tickets for the boxing using my credit card details.
Yesterday I got a phone call from them explaining that their bank had advised them not to accept credit cards due to the possibility of fraud and the high demand for tickets. So if I wanted my tickets I'd have to do a bank transfer. This set alarm bells ringing for me. After a bit of googling I discovered they have a trail of horror stories about fraud and being general bottom-feeders as long as my arm. Avoid them at all costs.
However, after cancelling my credit card (just to be on the safe side) and ordering a new one I managed to get onto the official Olympics website and order some tickets for the boxing (despite it taking about an hour of dicking around). In doing so I saved about £300 on what I would have paid Global Ticket Market. Happy ending!
