Ok, got some pedals; anybody got some shoes, or know where to go for some sub £20? Or even just someone with size 10's who has been thinking about replacing their current pair?

Sports Direct has Muddy Fox MTB shoes (as well as road shoes too) for from £20 - absolute bargain
next up you need Shimano SPD pedals with cleats, you should be able to get some off here easily for £Not-a-lot, or flea bay.
Next up you need to be brave enough to put the lot into use, and get out there and ride clipless- the SPD's are adjustable for tension, so have them slack for tthe first few rides if worried, but they can be a pain if too loose as your foot unclips too easily. Be bold be brave- JFDI !

yeah got some pedals off here for £15 so £20 wouldn't put me too far over budget. Do you know what those shoes are like to walk in? Thanks a lot for the help, I really haven't a clue about these shoes. I'm going to try them out on a geared bike first, i'll only use them on a fixie if I feel confident in them.

ah mate thanks for the offer but I just bought some of those muddy fox ones; not sure what to do about cleats though, so if you could help with that that'd be grand. Otherwise I'm set as soon as pedals arrive in the post.

Can't help with cleats, sorry!
Basically I want to try out a clipless system, but I don't want to spend too much. I've seen used shoes and pedals go on here quite cheaply, so I'm hoping to spend less than £30 including postage to cambridge. I'm not too sure what I'm looking for, but I would want the shoes to be ok for walking around normally.
Cheers.
