  • I'm looking to sell this track bike. Not yet sure of the make or vintage - which is why I haven't set a price - it could be a Carlton given those wrapover seat stays. Details as follows:

Weinmann Type 500 front brake fitted with GB Superhood Rapide lever; SR stem; 3ttt mod. competizione made in Italy bars; "equipped with Dura-Ace shimano" and "guaranteed built with Reynolds 531 forks and s..."labels on seat tube; SR Laprade seatpost; SR Royal fluted cranks; Kyokato toe-run pedals with Galli stirrups; Sakae SR chainwheel; Campagnolo quick release skewer at the front with Campagnolo Record hub; BH Airlite made in England rear hub double-fixed 14 and 16; Mavic GP4 rims. Underneath the seat tube (underside bottom bracket) is carved Ti (also G61). Smallish frame - 54-55cm.

PM if interested, or if you can shed some light on what this

  • Don't think its a Carlton my Carlton is a lot more tubular where the stays wrap over and has crespie lugs send it over to retrobike they will know what it is, there's Carlton expert he knows his beans lovely bike still just a shame its going to be out of my price range

  • You can always send your pics to Dave Marsh [Universal Cycle Centre, near Rotherham]...he used to work for Carlton and is an authority on all things Carlton......or alternatively try Gerry [but don't ask him for a valuation]....http://www.carltoncycles.me.uk/home.htm

  • Underneath the seat tube (underside bottom bracket) is carved Ti (also G61)

Ti marking... Raleigh? And the marking G... 1972?

Disclaimer - I'm no Raleigh expert!

  • Frameset gone. Thread closed.
