I picked up a new turbo yesterday, just doing some reading around about it, and apparently you can load into the training software one of your old rides, or make a new one using (say) Google maps, then ride it and the turbo recreates the turns and elevation changes.
It displays the route (Google satellite imagery/street view) as you cycle through it, so you can race yourself on your favourite course if it's pissing down outside.
I think this is very clever.
