I've been reading a few wild camping forums and that place gets universally panned.
Apparently you are charged per person and per pitch (so 2 adults in a tent on Friday costs around £25 (compared to £8 for a tent at housedean), they also charge extra for almost all their facilities.
Oh I should add I've not stayed their, just a few reviews I've read.

We will be starting play at 9.30 AM on Saturday and 10AM on Sunday. This means all teams need to be on court at 9am to this to register and have their bikes checked.We will finishing at 5 pm on both days. On Saturday the plan is to undertake a mass ride into town at 5pm when the games finish. The destination will be Ouch bar/ the beach. All teams will be given a voucher for a free pizza at Ouch Bar.
All teams must be on court on Sunday at 10am prompt. Remember that the courts are out of town and getting there takes 25 minutes on a hangover.
Format and rules
We will be following the LHBPA rulesetYour head ref for this tournament will be: Jamie
We will be running 5 rounds of swiss on Saturday, with 10 minute games and unlimited goals on three courts.

Music
There is a 'cassette tape only' policy for Saturday. Currently we have two; Now that's what I call music 3 & Disco Inferno, the best of discos. Bring more to avoid disappointment. Your best teenage compilations/sweet mixtapes are needed!
Food & drink
We will be providing tea and coffee for free on both days from the wonderful Small Batch Coffee Co. Brightons best small roastery and coffee house. There may also be cake.Pizza on Saturday night will be provided to each team at Ouch bar.
Please come prepared with lunch for both days. There are shops and cafes on Sussex campus, but term is out and things will be quiet. We are not allowed to bring traders on to the site. Packed lunches ahoy!

The surface doesn't really get slippy when wet, it keeps it's grip (to an extent) incredibly well even when it's raining hard.
