For Sale: OT: Phil & Teds double buggy

No idea if any interest on here but thought I would give it a try.

Here is our Phil & Teds double buggy. I think it's a Sport but it was not new when we bought it.

I will be honest and say that this buggy is by no means in mint condition, however it is still perfectly serviceable and in my opinion still one of the best designed double buggies out there. If you're not familiar with the type, you can have a completely flat bed suitable for newborns with a toddler seat on top - then change to two seats for when your baby is old enough to sit. There is a tray underneath for shopping or bits and pieces. Two brand new rear tyres & tubes and I will throw in 3 (three) additional spares.

Although this buggy works perfectly and is completely safe there are a number of issues which are as follows:

• No hood - there is a plastic rain cover but without the hood it doesn't work very well. It should be possible to buy a replacement hood. My eldest never minded getting a bit wet and the child in the lower seat is pretty much sheltered anyway.
  
• The centre cover on the right rear hub is missing.
  
• The bearings on all wheels are a little sloppy - you can replace the bearings I believe although it never seemed worth it to me.
  
• Two of the four buckles on the top seat are missing, this never bothered me as I only strapped my two-year old in with the waistband anyway. You should be able to buy replacement buckles.
  
• There are a few gouges and chunks taken out of the central retaining bar, plenty of foam remains though.
  
• In general the fabric is a bit threadbare and there are a few small holes in non-important places.
  
  
  

All the fabric has been removed, washed and replaced prior to sale. This is a good, functional and usable example of an excellently designed pushchair which will serve you well and with a bit of tlc should go on for many years.

If you have a look on ebay examples like this can go for well north of £100. Shall we say £50 collected from S Ealing, alternatively if you would like to rendezvous somewhere reasonably close then get in touch.
