Sold, thanks to everyone for the interest.
Hello, I'm selling my Mercian - I have to clear out a couple of bikes as I'm moving in with my girlfriend and need more space/funds.
Sizing: seat tube 59.5cm ctc, top tube 58 cm ctc.
I'm fairly sure it's a 1980s Mercian Classic as seen here: http://www.merciancycles.co.uk/files/images/1253628321-2520m.jpg
The frame is Reynolds 531, It has Weinmann brakes, A Brooks B17 saddle, Panaracer Pasela 27x1" tyres, stronglight cranks, Suntour shifters on the stem, Miche Competition hubs and 18 gears.
The bad bits: the frame has light surface rust over most of it. I'm sure this could be tarted up a bit without too much hassle though. Also, when removing the original pedals, the cranks were damaged in the process as they'd seized. Helicoils have been fitted to both cranks and I've put on some newish flats which have come from a Charge Plug.
The bike does need a bit of tlc, it was going to be a project for me but it's just sat in my room for a while and now I'm moving I don't have the time.
**SOLD
**
Cheers.
