Here's the Fairwheel bikes big brake review: http://fairwheelbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=7582
These brakes scored very well for power, which is something that other weight weenie brakes often fall down on.
No QR so Campag users only really.
These are £500 new, so this is a very good price.

I did loads of readin around on WW brakes, and these made the top of a very short list of ones I'd use for my chunky 85Kg self, riding mountain roads.
Look like they were designed by Brunel.
Must resist.

That's a good price .. I've got a set and for stopping power there is nothing I've used that comes close, they are a bit on / off though. And the cable clamp will only take standard wire because of the way it's designed it destroys PowerCodz

Remember that now. Wallet saved.

The weight saved by the brakes over your existing ones will easily offset a switch to KCNC DLC brake cables .. and I'm not on commission, but probably should be ;)

Do they come in a battered outer?

This thread is bringing back the "challenging" time I had getting Powercordz to work.
The little square clamp pictured below would hold itself in place with a conventional cable, but with the fatter kevlar cord it rotated- I had to hold it in place with a very small adjustable spanner whilst tightening the clamp bolt:

Lmao .. I know my spelling is crap!
Anyway .. The clamp on M5 brakes is not a standard pinch bolt like normal brakes. It is a barrel installed in the arm that the cable passes through and then to clamp you screw two opposing Allen screws into the cable. This has the effect on PowerCordz of cutting the Cordz clean through or destroying them, so the first time you break it snaps at the clamp.

I'm using the porky TRP 960. 120g per brake.
The M5 is claimed to be 73g. So you're right.damn you.

'The Blurb'....
The brakes are CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminium; the result is a very lightweight brake. Weighing as little as 72 grams these are one of the lightest brakes on the planet! Apart from that, the brake is also extremely stiff. Tests proved that the axial stiffness of the brakes (the stiffness directed to the rim while pulling the brake) was 4 to 6 times better than Shimano 105, Dura Ace and Campagnolo Record brakes.
