Wanted: Potential Ebay shipping help from Berlin

I am quite interested in a bike on ebay - seller is in Berlin - states only ships to Germany. I asked the seller if he would be willing to ship to sweden (like what is the different right....) and no reply yet.

So I need to know if anyone would be willing to sort me out of the shipping / pick up of the bike in trade for goods and or services (or in reality some good hard earned cash and some rep)

Bidding ends in about a day - just need to know my options!

That's one of my pet hates. Sellers on ebay uk refuse to send anywhere other than the UK, even though you're willing the pay for recorded, you've already calculated the shipping and it's the same bloody post office they will be going to anyway. Narrow minded fools.

Confidence thing, innit- even though misplaced the feeling is that you stand less chance of getting ripped off if it's a UK address.

Schnitter- seller was away for a couple of days but just responded - he will ship outside of Deutscheland - I am very pleased.
And yes ^~ I dont get people that wont ship outside of the UK either.... especially to somewhere inside the EU that is not Italy (due to pretty commonly known postal issues) or to like Lithuania / Belarus (that's racist)

I've always been happy to send anywhere, however given the fact that items with expensive postage can end up costing you a fortune if the buyer decides they don't like it and claim some bullshit ISNAD. You then end up with the scenario of losing the value of your initial postage plus other costs.
I had the same thing happen a few years ago with some MAFAC brake levers that went to a guy in the states. He snapped the cable adjuster & I knew it was fine yet had to refund shipping back to me plus the loss of posting it out there.
It isn't the country or mistrust of people of other countries, it is just all the hassle that goes with a sale if it goes wrong. Also some people think that packages should just materialise in a few days from the other side of the world when they pay for standard postage.
Additionally Royal Mail no longer refund the postage on lost mail outside of UK unless sent via the very much more expensive signed for/airsure.
There's loads of reasons why people won't sell overseas...
