Hello all, just a little heads up about this ride, last year we had loads of people doing it from all walks of life, some doing it twice, some doing it in reverse to take in the lung tickling hills. Now in its third year and taking in the whole of Lambeth is this 18.5 mile signed route around the borough, just turn up at one of the hubs, Archbishop's Park, Clapham Common bandstand, Streatham Common and Brockwell Park(up by the house); pick up a passport with a map and do the route, here is the route http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4509093 or you can download a map from www.biketheborough.co.uk
Get your passport stamped at each hub(or at least two hubs) to be entered into a competition to win a bike- not sure what bike yet but I think the beautiful Brixton Cycles and the lovely Specialized will be helping us out like they always do gawd bless em.
Brixton Cycles will be organising some entertainment for Brockwell Park, including Bike Shop Challenge Lambeth Bikeshops compete to assemble a bike from the box the fastest and race them, 'Bike 'Toss' see them fly! Billy's Tri-cycle 'Fool Heavyweight' Soundsystem Try a Tall bike and Dr Bike waiting for you on his couch. At Other hubs there will be Yoga for Cyclists, Rollapaluza, food and Drink.
There will be led rides leaving each of the hubs every hour on the hour from 11am.
This year we're working closely with local charity Wheels for Wellbeing who are hiring out specially adapted bikes and offering a bike buddying service. Visit www.biketheborough.co.uk for more information or call me on 020 7926 0677
