Which site?
I thought it was the Alpha Sports that were laminated (and around £90) and NJS whereas the Alpha Spirits are just a single leather strap and about £35?
The ones you have do look like the Sports and if you got them for £35 and they're double laminate then that's a bloody good price! Unless you want to pay more than double for some lettering?

and are they laminated with a strip of plastic in the middle?

Definitely laminated. Are you over this way tomorrow to meet up with Blake? I'll bring them along :)

they've got double rivets, so they are the pricey ones aren't they?

No. Travelling up to Newcastle. Take better pics and put them on your flickr if you have time.

Will do.

Looking into it myself it looks like the sprits only have single rivets.

Looks like you got lucky. They look like the expensive one's without the logos. Hipster tax reduction. The logos wear off in time anyway.

It does seem a bit weird doesn't it! Great price. Although I have no pedals to fit them too, I'm more than happy with them. They're the real McCoy, as it were.

indeed one one and planet x usually are good of you catch them!!

My pair came today. They are identical (minus the logos).
Also, VeloSolo seem to be selling logo-less ones for over double the price that I got my ones for from On-One.

got both, they're the same straps.
suede + this plastic bit inside + rivets and stuff, compared them and they are absolutely identical bar the njs stamp.
its a good deal folks.
Has anyone had experience with buying these, and finding no silver printed logos/lettering on them? I bought some this week from a reputable online shop, who's listing states:
Now, they don't say that they're MKS Fit Alphas on the website, but do say they are NJS certified. Also, until today they had a photo showing the usual silver lettering/NJS logo but that seems to have gone today (they've also bumped the price up to £40).
All images I can find online of either the NJS Fit Alpha Sport or non NJS Fit Alpha Spirit double straps suggest they should have silver lettering on them, which mine don't. They do however have MKS metal clips with "Fit Alpha" (alpha mathematical symbol) on them:
The price I paid (£35), I was hoping these would be a bargain, but perhaps not. I think I may have just paid a reasonable price for non-NJS straps. I'm just slightly concerned about the lack of any other branding. Obviously the lack of NJS stamp means they're not NJS, so they shop's product listing is incorrect. The packaging was printed up as MKS etc...
