Clearly for sickkkkk grinds.
I suffered a premature ejaculation at the cranks...

I don't understand

I don't either but it's giving me the right sensations.
I'm concerned the bottom bracket is a bit low.

Awesome! The forks are way cool

It makes me dizzy.

awesome.

I'm concerned an anodised alloy lockring seems to be the only thing preventing bangdeath

very awesome

What's the score with the BB? Is it custom? Is there no risk that being the 'tother way around they'll want to unthread themselves?
Overall it looks ACE! But I'd love to see ether a zen ring or a fybrelight ring to complement the solid look of the crank.

I like it!

Dude you are the Gaston of cranksets..
Have you ever ridden a bike with a drive side on the right?
Bike is awesome. -
• #17
I really like this, but with the crank on that (wrong) side, it just looks really wrong.

cheers guys :-)

The bb is only custom by virtue of the fact its 4 parts of 3 different bbs combined to make one. The cups and seals are from a Token, the bearings from a campag, the carbon centre and red bits from a tifosi. The axle is a 102 ISO run the other way round so you have the proper spacing on the driveside i.e:
Is there no risk that being the 'tother way around they'll want to unthread themselves?
The only thing that can undo themselves is the pedals, but its no different to having an italian bb. I've just put some ptf tape round the pedal threads to be sure. thread lock would be just as good
I'd love to see ether a zen ring or a fybrelight ring to complement the solid look of the crank.
Im just running the chainring until i can find or 'make' this:

Could you respond to rear hub conundrum?

Could you respond to rear hub conundrum?
think about why a sprocket/lockring actually works, the cranks turn which pulls and tightens the sprocket on the clockwise hub thread. skid and the chain pulls the sprocket anticlockwise and trys to loosen it, but can't due to the anticlockwise threaded lockring.
switch the direction of the force, the chain pulls the sprocket anticlockwise on the clockwise thread which would undo it if it wasn't for the lockring. skid and the force is reversed pulling the sprocket tight on the clockwise thread.
think of the size difference of the sprocket and lockring threads. bigger is clearly stronger in this case, so if anything having it this way around its actually stronger when skidding.
as pointed out by someone above, all of my bikes have been left hand drive since 2007/8 and I've never had an issue.
incidentally neither the lockring or indeed sprocket are anodised alloy as you suggested.
