-
• #9
Thanks Beagle!
And yes, just the day. But of course volunteers for going into the schools are still appreciated (http://www.lfgss.com/thread79870.html) -

They love it when you film kids nowadays. But this sounds great.

Nice, will check the date. I don't have my camera stuff with me yet but I can help with filming. The kids parents have to sign a release form.

This is awesome Josh! Well done!

I should hopefully be able to ride a bike by then, I'll see if I can get out of school... I won't be playing any games though. When do we need to be CRB checked by?

Happy to help out on that day, and helping out in schools as well. I've been CRB checked a few years ago, do you have to renew it?
-
• #19
Awesome, thanks Cedric.
I think any CRB is ok, but I've sent an email to double check and will let you know. Can you see the LHBPA thread on volunteering for the other sessions?
It's here:

Planning to try out bike polo in a couple of weeks' time with a view to playing regularly; will I be any use to you at this event despite a lack of experience? I've an up-to-date CRB.
-
• #22
Hi Linkpin,
That's extremely nice of you, volunteers are always appreciated and they'll be plenty of non-polo leg work I'm sure!
Get down to a polo session some time soon, somebody will lend you a mallet (or even a bike) to get you started.
See you at a court soon I hope!

Just realised this is next week, when does the CRB check need to be back by? I still need to get a form too.

Do you still need people for this Josh? i Can come down to help if your still want people, it's quite a good justification for a trip to london. I'm already CRB'd if that helps.
All the secondary schools who have been involved with the bike polo training project, in the boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, will be competing in a tournament!
Roughly 80 kids aged 11-13 will be taking part, maybe more.
When?
Wednesday 27th June 2012
1pm - 5.30pm
Where?
Redbridge Sports and Leisure Centre, Forest Road, Fullwell Cross, IG6 3HD
Four courts, on a great surface, 30x20m big.
We need volunteers to help out on the day!
Specifically with reffing etc. but also there will be a chance to play some games.
