^^ Ah, since it's in porn now I can criticise the 7800 brakes with the 7900 group. ;)
Needs 7900s for completeness and correct cable pull.

Thought it was pretty cool;
**pistol-grips or fighter plane wing pylons?
**
Well, the first thing has got to be the handlebars. Though I can reach the drops on my other bikes properly, I've never really liked being in that position. So i thought, could I have something more aero that would mimic my 'hoods' position... the use of the vision lever and thumb shifters would give me fingertip braking and shifting like STI/double-tap but at a lighter weight. The Felt Tri-Tips further enhanced the 'hoods'-level comfort and control.But then, what would be the most aero way of attaching the handlebar to the fork? And how do we minimize the overall weight of the head tube, steerer tube and stem? In the end, I decided that it would be best to minimize the head tube height as it would reduce the amount of head tube and steerer tube required thus minimizing weight; then to make the 'stems' more aero, we used ovalized 7/8" 4130 tubing to make two 'pylons' a la the current Look stems for their more advanced frames. Having the steerer clamp at the fork crown also allowed Rob to design a cleaner interface up top.
Finally, I thought that I might still want to have a 'drops' position at some point and I realized that it was the rotation of the wrist that caused the lowering of the torso - rather than forward reach per se. So why not put a couple of aero 'pistol-grips' on the ends that would give me a 'drops' position, but was a little closer to my body (given that I've got short arms). To prevent my hands falling off the ends, Rob fabricated a flange/cap at the bottom of the grip.
What hole are you living in? To buy team branded stuff, you don't have to be on a team.
